Both.

Board-approved supervision for LPC-As, LMSWs, and ASOTPs in Texas, from supervisors who treat your development as seriously as your licensure requirements.

This isn't another supervision relationship where you log hours and hope for the best.

Chris and Tonya both hold LSOTP-S credentials, making ASC one of the few practices in Texas that can supervise LPC-As, LMSWs, and ASOTPs under one roof.

That matters if your caseload is complex, your license path is specialized, or you need dual-track supervision without coordinating multiple supervisors.

You get clinical investment alongside your hour's documentation.

Who We Work With

This supervision is a good fit for you if you........

Want a supervisor who gives you real clinical feedback on your cases, not just signatures on your hours log

Are working in a specialized area (trauma, sex offender treatment, complex behavioral health) and need a supervisor who has actually been in that room

Need flexible scheduling and live video sessions that fit your life, not your commute

Are balancing multiple license tracks and want one practice that can hold both

We offer supervision for the following license types in the state of Texas

LPC-A

(Licensed Professional Counselor Associate)

Working toward full LPC licensure and need a board-approved LPC supervisor to log your hours?

We provide individual and group supervision grounded in practical, ethical clinical work.

LMSW

(Licensed Master Social Worker)

Completing your supervised hours on the path to LCSW?

We offer supervision that supports your development across a range of clinical settings and populations.

ASOTP

(Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider)

Working in one of the most complex and specialized areas of clinical practice, you need a supervisor with deep experience and a steady, non-judgmental presence.

Chris and Tonya both hold LSOTP-S credentials and understand what this work actually demands.

How Supervision Works

Every session is structured so you know exactly what to expect and leave with something useful.

A typical hour covers three things: a review of foundational clinical topics (ethics, self-care, confidentiality, licensure paperwork, documentation), a case conceptualization where you bring a real case to work through together, and space for anything that's coming up for you as a clinician. That last part matters. New clinicians carry a lot, and supervision is one of the few places where your experience of the work gets attention alongside your client's.

Sessions are held via secure live video, so there's no commuting and no scheduling around location. We work with you on frequency based on your board requirements and where you are in your supervised hours, and we provide full documentation for your board application.

Individual supervision is one-on-one with your supervisor. Group supervision brings a small cohort of peers together to work through cases with your supervisor facilitating, a more cost-effective option that also builds community with clinicians at a similar stage.

We supervise from a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework and spend real time on case conceptualization, not just logistics

Meet Your Supervisors

Chris Hazel, LPC-S, LSOTP-S

Chris brings over ten years of clinical experience to supervision, with deep expertise in complex trauma, sex offender treatment, and professional development for emerging clinicians. He holds board-approved supervisor credentials for LPC-As and ASOTPs in Texas.

Chris believes the best supervision happens close to the work itself. He's not interested in abstract theory for its own sake, he wants to know what the research actually says, why a particular approach works for a particular client, and how to apply that in the room. After more than a decade working in the Texas sex offender treatment system, he has supervised clinicians through some of the most complex cases in that space, and his instinct is always to get practical, get specific, and get to work.

Tonya Shankle, LCSW-S, LSOTP-S, MHNCS

Tonya is a licensed clinical social worker supervisor with specialized training in mental health and sex offender treatment. Her supervision style is direct, supportive, and rooted in over 10 years of front-line clinical work. She holds board-approved supervisor credentials for LMSWs and ASOTPs in Texas.

Tonya's approach to supervision is shaped by her own journey as a supervisee. She experienced firsthand how much it matters to have someone in your corner who shows up with structure, a real agenda, and genuine investment in your growth as a clinician. That experience is exactly what she brings to every supervisee she works with.
